Helpful Plant & Herb Allies

Ok, so here we are with looking at what plants help with what and where to place them. As usual plants have air purifying qualities but in addition they hold many protective and spiritual properties as well. Here are a few of my favorite plants and their properties.

Let's state the obvious, the best protective plant to have planted in my opinion is White Sage. Plant this at the front door, back door, around the property, wherever. This plant not only protects but when harvested and burned the smoke is used to cleanse and purify, used in ceremonies, clear negative and stagnant energy in homes and objects. This plant will be your number one Ally to have on your land or in your home.

Hyssop is a sacred herb that has been used over time for many things. Its used in purification both of the physical and spiritual self as well as primarily being used in the medicinal realm to assist with healing coughs and respiratory cleansing. I plant these around the outside of my house to aid in keeping negativity at bay. You can also hang bundles in the windows or at your doorway to serve this purpose as well.

Peppermint plants are also extremely productive in many aspects. Keep peppermint in the home, particularly by the front or back door, to protect the home from unwanted negative energies and spirits. Peppermint can also assist with your love life! The smoke when burned is a powerful aphrodisiac and when served in a tea helps your love life flourish, so grab some peppermint tea and offer it to your beloved for an extra spark. Peppermint also aids in drawing prosperity.

Chamomile. Besides its medicinal uses (which are many) you can plant it around your home to keep trespassers away. To aid with nightmares, keep fresh chamomile under your pillow or bedside in a vase (Side note: Anytime nightmares are present, healing is needed, give me a ring). Chamomile can also help draw prosperity so put a few flowers in your wallet to double what is already there.

Ok so warning here as this plant may draw furry friends to your doorstep, never the less it has helpful capabilities. Catnip grown in pots near doors or windows attracts positive energy and seriously we can all use that anytime! For cat people, this plant can also help you bond with your cat psychically!

The seeds of Dill plants are associated with abundance! sprinkle them around your property and home to attract money and financial wellness into your life! If planted in containers place near the front door to keep troublemakers away. Dill is connected with the protection of children, hang dill over a child's bed to help keep them safe.

Rosemary. Besides using in cooking, when planted outside the home it helps to protect the home. When the sprigs are burned, the smoke helps to clear negative energies not only in the home but also the auric field. The smoke also helps to uplift the spirit and bring about tranquility.

Of course we can't forget Jasmine now can we. Planting Jasmine near the home attracts happiness and abundance into the household. Amongst its many other properties such as burning the leaves in your bedroom to enhance prophetic dreaming, it is also a great plant that bees, butterflies and birds love!

Here is another extremely useful plant for protection and cooking! Planting Basil around your property keeps enemies away, crushing and scattering the leaves around the home will also rid of negative energies.

This brings us now to Eucalyptus. Besides its healing properties in many forms, Eucalyptus is known for annihilating negative vibes, cleaning up the aura and assisting in finances when placed in the home. Keeping stalks of the plant near the front door or front step of the home helps to keep the family safe.

Bay Leaf tree! (Also known as Bay Laurel). These are extremely sacred within spiritual work. I use Bay leaves as offerings to the Spirits. They are symbols of purification and protection and attract positive and ward off negative. They are also known to promote strength.

And lastly how can we forget, Lavender. She has so many beneficial qualities. Within the spiritual realm of things she is associated with relaxation, peace, purification and is also associated with protection. You can plant outside, hang sprigs inside, put in vase, whatever you are drawn to give it a shot.

In short these are just a handful of plants and herbs that are extremely helpful on the outside and inside of your home. As you continue to work with them and incorporate them into your life, you will learn how they work with you and how they are living beings communicating with you in ways unspoken.

This also takes gift giving to a deeper level as well. When contemplating about a gift always remember plants and what their properties are and how the one receiving it could benefit from the properties it provides.

Just a Quick Note!

Full moon this month is June 21st. She is known as the Strawberry full moon. This moon is symbolic of being grateful for life's sweetness and to connect with the abundance around us. This is a moon of love, purity and abundance and is known as the first full moon of summer.

Summer solstice is right behind her landing on June 20th, which signifies the longest day of the year. The Sun is the ally on this day and is utilized in healing as the power of him will be at its fullest on this day. Get your crystals outside on the 20th and leave over the next night into the full moon.
